Sol Sisters Holiday Party 2007

Everyone gathered at Jan & Jett's house around 6:00pm to start the holiday celebration. PJ hosted the dinner provided by The Big Kitchen. The food was abundant consisting of a delicious green salad, bread, garbonzo beans, lasagna and variations on the cheesecake.

It was time for the white elephant gift exchange but this time PJ has a twist for us. We all gathered in a circle with the gifts we had brought and wrapped. We were told to remove the wrapping to expose the gifts we brought. Still not sure what was about to happen, PJ pulls out a piece of paper and she started reading it. Whenever you heard the words "left" or "right", you were to move the gift in the direction. Well, chaos ensued and some had 2 gifts while others didn't have any. Can you imagine if we were drunk?????

We were anxiously waiting for the story to finally end. LOL!!! I was happy with my gift. I left that place with 2 bottles of alcohol. Can't complain.

Sherry probably brought the most interesting gift of all. It consisted of a porn DVD, some form of genital stimulation with a AA battery and other items. A few of the girlz were not about to let that get out of their hand but who finally ended up with it? That's right, Jen's boyfriend. Funny, how they left the party not too long after that. LOL!!!

Jett gathered everyone around the table to do the first non-traditional "Installation of Officers". She had a box in front of her and she would use the American Indian's method of leadership. She first started with Colleen, our new 2008 President. Jett explained that the President respects everyone's right to speak and handed Colleen the speaking stick. Looked like a little feather tickle toy that could have gone with Sherry's gift bag. hee hee

Next, Jett called upon Jennifer, who is keeping her Secretary position. Jett commented that the Secretary's position is to record the minutes, dreams and aspirations of the club's desires and presented Jen with a dreamcatcher.

Jett then called upon Carol K, our newly-elected Vice President, emphasizing the importance of this position and presented Carol K with the smoke pipe. I think it's suppose to be the peace pipe, but smoke it however you wish Carol! :)

Next was the reinstating of Carol B as our Ride Captain. With Carol now acquiring a Garmin GPS navigation system for her bike, Jett felt compelled to bring Carol back to reality in the event her GPS failed. She handed her a mini Etch-A-Sketch. Absolutely hilarious!!! Remember Carol, once you set the directions on that thing, DON'T SHAKE IT!!!

Finally, it was Kathy's turn. She is now our Treasurer. Jett said that sometimes you need to a place to store the money and handed her a suede pouch.

Biby had brought the video of our Winter Nationals and we all gathered in the living room to enjoy the show. Then of course, we got to the striptease portion and well, alot of heads shaking and good thing none of our girlz were a part of it. Well, not caught on camera, that is. :-Þ

The best part was just about to begin. We saw a few of the girlz head outside but the rest of us just looked at each other thinking, "hmmm...what's going on?" A few minutes later, Becky, Lilia, Carol K, Jett and Colleen walk into the house with helmets on backwards. It was absolutely hilarious!!! I had to capture that moment with Anita standing amongst them. Because we all heard the story and Anita, it looks as if you're never going to live that down.

Well, the night was winding down, we shared some stories and had alot of great laughs. Thank you Jett & Jan for hosting the party and a big thanks to PJ for taking care of us with the food. She would not sit down until she fed EVERYONE!! Then she would not quit until everyone took some leftovers and all you heard from her in the kitchen was, "GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!" hee hee
